The reigning champion Neeraj Chopra's opponent from Pakistan, Arshad Nadeem, has been excluded from the Asian Games upon his arrival in China. Arshad, who secured a bronze medal in the 2018 Asian Games, reported knee discomfort upon reaching Hangzhou. Subsequent MRI scans unveiled a long-standing knee injury that compelled the 26-year-old to ultimately pull out of the competition.
